VP Racing Fuels Cover the Globe!
From Bristol to Bahrain, Houston to Hockenheim, Suzuka to Santa Pod, VP Racing is becoming the fuel of choice in many languages! While VP long has been among the best known brands of racing fuel throughout North America, its presence on other continents continues to expand as well.
VP's first venture off the continent lead it to Australia in 1994. VP's Sydney-based distributor now services Australia with VP's entire product line, achieving great success not only with fuels but VP's traction compounds. VP has fueled many Australian National Drag Racing Association (ANDRA) champions including Scott Kalitta of Rapisarda Racing (Top Fuel), Wayne Newby (Top Alcohol Dragster) and Jon Andriopoulos (Pro Stock), as well as numerous national and track records. Notably, Kalitta's national ET and MPH records (4.565 and 332.84 mph) were set at Western Sydney International Dragway, where the track surface is prepped using VP's LC6 traction compound. In fact, several drag strips prepped with VP's LC6 traction compound boast track records achieved with track temperatures approaching 150°F!
In Europe, VP developed unleaded racing fuels to meet specifications established by both the Federation Internationale De L'Automobile (FIA) and Federation Internationale De Motorcyclisme (FIM) and has distributed them throughout the continent for the past 7 years. VP's SV-05 racing fuel is the Spec Fuel for the FIA Pro Stock Drag Racing Championships in Europe, while fuels like VP's M8-1, A5 and CSP have been used with success by numerous factory teams on the continent. Drag racing facilities throughout Europe, including its two most notable-Santa Pod Raceway in the United Kingdom and the Hockenheim motorsports facility in Germany-host of the annual "Nitro Olympics of Drag Racing" in August-are the sites of numerous VP-powered championships. In addition, Ricky Carmichael and James (Bubba) Stewart were powered by VP to championships in 2005 and 2006 respectively as part of Team USA in the Motocross des Nations.
VP's presence in Europe includes a Warwickshire, England-based distributor serving the entire United Kingdom, while on the continent, customers seeking VP power can find distributors throughout Scandinavia as well as Germany, France, The Netherlands, Poland and Greece.
Of all the opportunities spawned by the thawing of the Cold War, who would have foreseen racing as a significant growth market? VP is on the forefront of this phenomenon, with its newest Moscow-based distributor servicing rally and off road racers, along with drag racing, motocross and motorcycle road racing in Russia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Ukraine and other former Soviet republics.
Among VP's fastest growing regions is the Middle East, where VP's Manama, Bahrain-based distributor has been servicing countries throughout the Arabian peninsula and Egypt since 2002. VP also has been represented by a distributor in Israel since 2004. VP fueled the 24hr GP at the Bahrain International Circuit as well as the Porsche Super Cup Series held during the F1 event. Increasing numbers of drag racers, off road and rally racers, jet ski enthusiasts and others in the region are learning first-hand about VP's reputation for more power, more torque and cooler operating temperatures. VP's LC6 traction compound is fast becoming the adhesive of choice in this desert climate with exceedingly high temperatures. Farther south, VP's South African distributor is servicing the burgeoning needs of racers in that growing market.
Just as racing translates to any language, so too does VP's technology and performance. VP intends to maintain and solidify its position as the true World Leader in Race Fuel Technology for years to come.
