VP RACING FUELS' NEW BLEND, MR-PRO5, IS AN UNLEADED FUEL THAT WAS ENGINEERED TO GENERATE MAXIMUM HORSEPOWER IN 4-STROKE APPLICATIONS WHILE CONFORMING TO AMA REGULATIONS.
| | SEPTEMBER 2, 2010 NEW BLEND MAKES MORE POWER THAN ANY AMA-LEGAL FUEL ON THE MARKET!
SAN ANTONIO, TX (SEPTEMBER 2, 2010) Riders who participate in the upcoming AMA Supercross series can count on extra horsepower in their quest for the title, thanks to the newest motorcycle fuel from VP Racing Fuels. “MR-Pro5 is unleaded, engineered to generate maximum horsepower in 4-stroke applications in conformance with AMA Pro Racing rules,” said Bruce Hendel, Western Regional Manager for VP.
“While VP’s MR-Pro4.1 has been the standard for AMA Supercross and Motocross champions for the last several years, testing has proven MR-Pro5 delivers up to 2% more power than MR-Pro4.1 and with its lower RVP, MR-Pro5 is more stable in hot weather,” Hendel added. “These results confirm MR-Pro5 makes more power than any other AMA-legal fuel on the market. In addition, jetting/mapping changes are minimal and MR-Pro5 does not require radical changes in ignition timing like other fuels on the market. As racers ready their bikes for the 2011 season, MR-Pro5 will prove as critical to their success as any performance part in their program.”
All of VP’s fuels are conveniently available from VP dealers across the U.S. To find the nearest retail location, customers can contact the appropriate VP Regional Distribution Center, each of which is listed under FIND A DEALER or CONTACT. Customers with technical questions about MR-Pro5 can contact VP’s Tech Staff at 210-241-1192 or email MotorcycleTech@vpracingfuels.com.
VP’s R&D group has been prolific over the years, developing nearly 70 fuel blends for applications across all of motorsports. “MR-Pro5 is just the latest example of our commitment to stay ahead of the competition with constant innovation,” Hendel concluded.
Since 1975, VP Racing has fueled champions in virtually every racing category and class. VP’s fuels have earned a reputation for superior power and consistency – as illustrated by its sweep of championships in all classes of AMA Supercross, Motocross, Superbike and Supermoto from 2004 through 2008.
In addition to racing fuels, VP recently introduced SEF Small Engine Fuel, ethanol-free and formulated specifically for portable gas-powered equipment to ensure quicker, more dependable starts and worry-free long-term storage.

| | AUGUST 30, 2010 GERLOFF GETS OUT IN FRONT AT THE RED BULL INDIANAPOLIS GRAND PRIX
INDIANAPOLIS, IN (AUGUST 30, 2010) Garrett Gerloff won the Red Bull Indianapolis Grand Prix this past Sunday riding his Moriwaki MD250H powered by Honda. It was a strong weekend for Gerloff seeing as how he won on Saturday and qualified on the pole in Friday’s session as well. The young rider uses VP’s special blend of MR12 to get him across the finish line.
Gerloff got off to a strong start to take the lead into the first turn and continued to pull away during the race. “I definitely got a better start today,” said Gerloff. “I led into turn one and really tried to put my head down and run away. Jake and Nick stayed with me the first couple of laps. I was getting kind of nervous, but I started to pull away little by little and I was monitoring the gap on my pit board.”
As in Saturday’s race, a battle for second place developed immediately between Nick McFadden, Jake Lewis, Ryan Matter and Stefano Mesa. Gerloff continued to run faster laps than the group and his margin of victory was 11.33 seconds at the end of the 11 lap race.
The fight for second persisted as Gerloff widened his margin. McFadden had a poor start early on in the race but got into a rhythm and caught up. Ryan Matter drafted past both McFadden and Lewis until McFadden decided to make his move.
“With two laps to go, I figured it was getting to the end of the race and I needed to get up there. I made a pass into turn one and held them both off until the end.” The battle was well fought between these four racers but the determined Gerloff came out on top by a long shot.

CONOR DALY AND HIS VP SPONSORED TEAM CELEBRATE A CHAMPIONSHIP VICTORY AFTER CONQUERING AT MOSPORT.
| | AUGUST 28, 2010
DALY MAKES A STATEMENT IN CANADA AT THE GRAND PRIX OF MOSPORT CANADA (AUGUST 28, 2010) Conor Daly won the 2010 Star Mazda Championship by taking the pole in Round 12 at the Grand Prix of Mosport. Daly was breaking records in his #22 car achieving a streak of nine poles and seven wins. The VP sponsored racer racked up such a points lead that he technically was the champion before the race had started.
Rather than play it safe, Daly showed his ferocity by leading every lap and finishing 0.764 seconds ahead of Jorge Goncalvez, the Venezuelan 2nd-place finisher. "Even though I wasn't worried about the championship I still wanted to win for the Juncos Racing team and it was still a fairly tough race with Jorge right behind me for the first ten laps and I knew it was going to be tough to pull any kind of a gap," said Daly.
"With the yellow flag right at the end leaving us with a green/white/checkered situation I knew I had to be careful because the track was really slick by that point and I kind of tiptoed through the first turn and got a run while the guys behind me slid wide and that gave me a little bit of breathing room to bring it home,” described the young driver.
Rounding out the top-3 after moving up from his 6th-place qualifying position, was California racer Connor De Phillippe. Frenchman Tristan Vautier, winner of two races this year and starting from 3rd on the grid brought his #38 Mazda home in 4th.
“The Juncos team has put forward a tremendously professional effort all season and I can't thank them enough. I'll be going into the last race at Road Atlanta with the same attitude I've had all season; put it on the pole and win the race, but I will be thinking about how I can help my teammates get on the podium so we can wind up the season in style," stated an excited Daly.
While the overall series championship and the Master Series championships have been settled, there is one remaining prestigious title to be won in the season finale -- the inaugural VISITFLORIDA Cup, a 7-race championship-within-a-championship. | | | HENRY WILES DOMINATED THE WHOLE DAY AT PEORIA FOR THE AMA GRAND NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP CLAIMING HIS SIXTH STRAIGHT WIN.
| | AUGUST 23, 2010 STRONG BIKE + STRONG RIDER = STRONG WINNING STREAK
PEORIA, IL. (AUGUST 23, 2010) – There’s a reason why Henry Wiles has the #1 on his plates and VP’s C12 in his tank. This Michigan rider had no problem making Peoria TT a clear example of that this past weekend. Wiles dominated round 11 of the AMA Grand National Championship making it the sixth straight win for him at this Illinois venue! Now, Wiles has his eyes on the "Prince of Peoria" Chris Carr's record of eight in a row.
Wiles had himself a perfect day, not only posting the fastest qualifying time, but winning the fastest heat and leading all twenty five laps of the National. Wiles didn’t just squeak by for the checkered either, he finished in front of second place rider, Jared Mees, by over 11 seconds.
"Today was just one of the days that I think even if I would have gotten a little behind, I could have came through real quick," said Wiles. "I think we had that much going on today."
Any suspense was soon put to rest as the 18 rider National hit the first turn. "I got the perfect start and that always makes things easier. There's a lot that can go wrong in this race," said Wiles. "Fortunately the bike ran strong the whole time and there were no issues there mechanically.”
“There were a few times, because the track was a little bit sketchy, the bike was stepping it out or tucking the front a little bit here and there. I kind of wanted to look back just to see how I was doing. I know I had more in reserve and I was just trying to ride a smart race. I wanted to know if someone was there and if I should wick it up a little bit. Fortunately I didn't have to do that. We just rode a good race. The Monster Energy Kawasaki was running good today, that was probably the best bike we've had here yet."
