Ask any race track in the Midwest, big or small, who their favorite VP Regional Manager is and you might hear the name “Jason” come up numerous times.   Jason, a native of Onsted, Michigan, began his career with VP in 1999.   A graduate of Indiana State, with a bachelor’s degree in Science, he began working with the company the day after he graduated.

Originally hired on to do sales and work in the warehouse, Jason climbed the ladder to management while maintaining a crucial role in VP’s product research and development.   Once he finished his stint in VP’s R&D department, Jason then was given the position of Regional Sales Manager.   Jason became very well versed within the company, “I’ve done everything but drive the semis” says Rueckert.

As Regional Manager, Jason is responsible for management of the tank farm and warehouse in Terre Haute as well as building and growing VP Midwest’s dealer network and making sure everything runs smoothly in his 11 state territory.   What makes Jason a vital part of VP is the fact that he, himself, is an avid racer.   It is one thing to know about fuel, but it’s a great asset for VP to have staff that’s continually using its products out in the field.   Jason uses VP’s very own Q16 to power his drag car, an ‘82 Oldsmobile Cutlass.   Cranking out 3,000 horses with a twin turbo 600 cubic inch big block, his elapsed times have proven to be as quick as 6.5 seconds in the quarter mile at 230 mph.

When Jason isn’t out “Makin’ Power” you can find him attending the Outlaw Radial Tire Championship in Georgia twice a year.   His love for fast cars fuels his passion and makes him an incredible part of Team VP.   Constantly visiting small race tracks in the Midwest, Rueckert looks to better many tracks by promoting VP’s high-end traction compounds and starting line resins.

Jason’s knowledge and initiative make him a valuable part of VP Racing Fuels, but just make sure to never refer to his car as “Pooch”!
