VP Racing Fuels renewed as Official Fuel of IMSA, which includes the Tudor United Sportscar Championship, Continental Tire Sportscar Challenge, Cooper Tires Prototype Lites, Lamborghini Super Trofeo, and Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge.

The Tudor United Sportscar Championship started their season with the grueling Rolex 24 at Daytona. Teams relied on strategy, luck, and VP Racing Fuels to keep them in the hunt for 24 hours. As the clock ticked down, the Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates “star car” driven by IndyCar champion Scott Dixon held of defending race winner Sebastien Bourdais by just 2.267 seconds.

The Target Ford EcoBoost/Riley was co-driven by Indy 500 winner Tony Kanaan, and NASCAR favorites Jamie McMurray and Kyle Larson.

The 63rd Mobil 1 12 Hours of Sebring was next up for the series. The historic flat road course was no match for the Action Express Corvette driven by Christian Fittipaldi, IndyCar's Sebastien Bourdais, and Joao Barbosa. The team ran a flawless race and won by a full lap. The team reached another milestone, completing every possible lap in Tudor United Sportscar competition.

VP started a new relationship as the Official Fuel of the Pirelli World Challenge. The series fields everything from high-horsepower exotics to more common four cylinder cars competing at some the best road and street courses in North America.

The first round had a huge turnout at Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas. The weather changed constantly and kept teams on their toes, but saw great racing in every class.

The COTA round was also notable for VP because it was the first race for the VP Racing Fuels Mustang in the TC class. Driver Ian Lacy from Utah brought the car home with two top-tens. The team is certainly excited for the remainder of the season, which picks up at Canadian Tires Motorsports Park.

Finally, VP became the Official Fuel of the Indy Lights Series. 2015 also features new cars and engines for the top rung on the Mazda Road to Indy ladder and VP has been a great addition throughout preseason testing.

Dan Andersen, Owner and CEO of Andersen Promotions said, “VP’s quality and purity of fuel is outstanding, and our teams are delighted to work with them this season. VP continues to expand its involvement in professional racing, and we are proud to be partnering with them once again.”

Indy Lights kicks off their season on the streets of St. Petersburg March 28-29.
