MOTOUSA.COM TESTS THEIR YAMAHA R6 TRACK BIKE WITH VP'S U4.4

CALIFORNIA (JANUARY 31, 2011) Our friends at MotorcycleUSA.com have been hard at work taking their best stock street bike from 2010 and modifying it to be a track terrorizer.

They started off in July of last year comparing four bone-tock bikes straight from the manufacturers: a Suzuki GSX-R600, a Yamaha YZF-R6, a Honda CBR600RR and a Kawasaki ZX-6R. The stock comparison proved to be somewhat mild for these racer-turned-writers, so a round of tuning and performance add-ons provided more liveliness. A follow-up test deemed the Yamaha YZF-R6 as their shootout victor, but the MotoUSA boys weren’t finished.

Adam Waheed with MotorcycleUSA.com decided that body work, paint, tires and VP Racing Fuel would help the R6 to perform the way a project track bike should. VP’s U4.4 high-octane, oxygenated blend seemed to be just the ticket for MORE POWER. Waheed notified us that their testing of the R6 rocket at Willow Springs was successful and yielded some impressive results. We know you can’t wait to see what some Japanese engineering mixed with VP’s U4.4 could do. Well we can’t give it away just yet.
