WHEATLAND, IN (MAY 21, 2011) James Monroe, an avid racer and user of VP's M1 Methanol, enjoyed another great night at Lyon’s Raceway Park on May 21.  Monroe racked up some early season points in the JEG'S Super Quick Series with a final round appearance.  In the final his .015 package wasn't good enough for the win, but several hours later Monroe was able to avenge the disappointing loss by taking the $3,000 Super Pro win.

James had some success earlier this year performing superbly at the Indy Divisional, which granted him a spot as the NHRA D3 Top Dragster JEG'S All-Star representative for 2011. This spot was earned with points tallied over 2011 thus far and leading up to the NHRA Route 66 Nationals. The race is to be held just outside of Chicago, IL in July. In Chicago, Monroe will compete with his division teammates for a share of the $100,000 up for grabs.

In 2010, James performed well and got a title as NHRA Top Dragster champ. He was honored early this year as the 2010 NHRA Division 3 “Sportsman Driver of the Year”. Keep an eye on Monroe this season as he is determined to top last year on VP M1 Methanol!
