VP UK-1 Fuel Helps Michael Dunlop to Record-Setting Performances and Podiums
SAN ANTONIO, TX (September 14, 2016) Officials with Hawk Racing reported a stellar 2016 season with Michael Dunlop atop the team’s BMW S1000 RR Superbike, crediting VP Racing Fuels as a key part of their success. Based in Leicestershire, England and fueled exclusively with VP Racing Fuels’ UK-1 racing fuel, Dunlop smashed lap records and rode to the top of the podium eight times out of 10 starts.

At the Vauxhall International North West 200, Dunlop achieved the first ever win for BMW machinery around the course while setting the outright lap record at 123.207 mph. He also excelled at the Isle of Man, winning the RST Superbike Race with the first sub-17 minute lap at the TT and winning the Pokerstars Senior Race with the outright lap record at 133.962 mph.
Dunlop collected four more 1st place finishes at the International Southern 100, including the Corlett’s Trophies 600/1000cc Race, Ellan Vannin Fuels Senior Race, Island Aggregates Senior Race and Manx Gas Solo Championship Race. With that, Dunlop was installed in the International Southern 100 Roll of Honour records for 2016.
